CrossFit Xystum is proud to host the 1st Annual Jay Coon Memorial Competition benefiting the Fitness Freedom Project, founded by the late Jay Coon and named in his honor. Proceeds from this competition will help pay for CrossFit memberships and other types of physical disciplines to disabled war veterans with physical injuries and/or PTSD.
Prizes include GoPro's for 1st Place Advanced, and Reebok, Progenix, Kill Cliff, Lurong Essentials prizes for Int. and Novice.
For this competition, there will be 3 Divisions: Advanced, Intermediate, and Novice.
DIVISION STANDARDS: Athletes must be able to perform the following:
Advanced Rx: HSPU's, Chest to Bar Pull Ups, and Double Unders.
Intermediate: Pull Ups, and Double Unders.
Novice: Hand Release Push Ups, Singles, and Jump Pull Ups.
WOD 1: One time through AMRAP of 2 Min's On/1 Min Rest of:
A. Advanced: Chest to Bar Pull Up -s, Intermediate: Pull Ups, Novice: Jump Pull Ups.
B. Advanced & Intermediate: Assault Bike for Calories, Novice: Row for Calories.
C. Kettle Bell Swings: Advanced - 70/53, Intermediate - 53/35, Novice - 44/26.
D. Wall Balls: Advanced and Intermediate 20/14, Novice 14/10
E. Double Unders for both Advanced & Intermediate, Singles for Novice.
WOD 2, Floater: 4 Min's of Sled Pulls 225/185 Adv., 185/135 Int., 155/95 Novice.
WOD 3: JAYWOD For Time:
Advanced - 20 Handstand Push Ups
Intermediate - 20 Push Presses
Novice - 20 Hand Release Push Ups
Then 5 Rounds For Time Of:
7 Front Squats
7 Clean & Jerks
After 15th Deadlift, athlete will move their bar to Bench Press rack and perform:
20 Bench Presses
Time concludes upon 20th bench press.
